My Goal To Build A Career As A Dentist

In high school, I developed a passion for dentistry. In order to get treatment for my dental pain I visited King Saud University College of Dentistry. The dentist helped me gain more knowledge about toothaches and I felt a great relief. At that point, I decided to become a dentist as my career.

King Saud University College of Dentistry has a well-deserved reputation of being one of Middle East’s top-ranked universities. After six academic year, I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery (B.D.S.). during 2016.

Since my second-year dental school course on preclinical prothodontics, I have been interested in prosthodontics. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience in fixed and movable prosthodontics during my academic years. I was first to meet the clinical requirements in the fifth-year course. It was heavily based on cases of prosthodontics. I was involved in five cases that were very challenging and required a lot of work. One case impressed the professors. This patient had many missing and decayed molars and was under pressure to finish treatment before the wedding of his son. The patient’s smile was a joy to see after several visits. I have been determined to become a prothodontist ever since.

The specialty of prosthodontics combines art and science to restore proper mastication and restore confidence. I love to learn the nuances of each material, and then think about how to diagnose the main complaint that the patient has. It is not easy to find a solution for difficult cases in prosthodontics.

Our college held an event that was innovative and motivating during my internship. It was called Internship annual research meeting. This event evaluated and recognized the research conducted on interns. The presentation I gave received the highest grade in the category. My team was awarded 2nd and we also won the award for best research.

I’m a leader who enjoys working with others. I led several groups while in college, both for academic and social projects. I believe it is the responsibility of every dentist to serve his community. This includes not only treating people but also raising their awareness on oral hygiene. In order to reach out to the community, I’ve been involved in several projects. These include those that are aimed at children, older people, and people with disabilities.

I am committed to working hard and gaining knowledge during my stay in residency. My goal is to become a better prosthodontist. As a trainee, I am comfortable and confident. My knowledge base is strong and I have taken part in many discussions where I have shared and gained information.

My aim is to become a board certified prosthodontist in the United States. I’m willing to help improve the local prosthodontic program in Saudi Arabia. Your program’s excellence will allow me to fulfill my dream of becoming an excellent prosthodontist. Acceptance into your respected institution would be an honor. You are welcome to consider my application.
